One of the easiest ways to earn money in WoW is using the Cooking Profession. For me, cooking in WoW has always been one of the most satisfying professions. In this guide I expose a few strategies to use with the Cooking Profession to make the most gold possible.
For the 1st 5 levels in WoW you'll be in a sub-area where you can't start the cooking profession. The best thing to do here is just save a little money so that when you reach level 5 you can get started with the cooking profession.
When you're ready to move out of the starting area, talk to the guard and follow his instructions to the cooking trainer. Your first recipe will be spice bread. If you have the money, buy the ingredient you need from a cooking supplier and make the bread till its green colored.
When you are questing you can often find suitable cooking ingredients. Even if you don't need them right away, its sometimes a good idea to hang onto them because they will be of use later and you'll save a bit of money not having to buy them. Egg's and meat are a couple of common ingredients you can find during quests.
Something else to remember, when you're talking with non player characters throughout the game, always check to see if they have any recipes for sale. You can sometimes find unique recipes here which contribute to one of your achievements which is based on how many different things you can cook.
If you start accumulating too many ingredients, sell them in the Auction House and make a little coin, avoid throwing them away.
In order to make the most profit you need to cook foods that help with stat points. Sometimes the ingredients for these are only found in level 60+ zones. Don't be discouraged however, stick at the profession and it'll pay you well in the end.
The combination of professions that you have is important. I have found fishing to be a great combination with cooking as the work very well hand in hand. You'll find that you need fish to make many of the most lucrative recipes.
You can take the most advantage out of your cooking profession by eating the foods you make to boost your stats and restore your hit points after battles. I suggest you sell your in demand foods in the Auction House for gold and master the fishing profession as this works very well with cooking.
