Shortly after Nintendo released its Nintendo DS hand-held video game unit they came out with the Nintendo DS Lite which is more or less a smaller version of the previous model.
If you're not a gamer it can be pretty difficult trying to keep up with the latest gadgets. What makes things even more confusing is that many people use the term "Nintendo DS" interchangeably for all the units instead of being specific. So, if you want to purchase a Nintendo DSi or a Nintendo DS Lite console online, make sure the listing is very specific so you don't end up buying the wrong thing.
The Nintendo DS was released in 2004, the Lite version followed in 2006, and then the DSi in 2009. The DS Lite is more or less a smaller, sleeker, and more durable version of the original DS console. If you'd like to buy a Nintendo DS Lite and are looking for good deals online make sure the prices you find match up to the type of console you want to buy. It doesn't make sense for you to spend hours online looking for a good deal on an older DS video game console when a DS Lite is what you really want to buy.
