If vanity is a sin, then there are millions of us who will need to confess it. Just how many hours are we willing to spend in front of mirrors, turning right and left, checking ourselves if we really do look appropriate? And yet it's for a very valid reason. In the end you know that you are strengthened with confidence and self-dependability that allows you to compete with the rest of the world.
There are some cases, though, when you know that something is robbing you of the confidence that you are trying hard to build. You can no longer strut confidently with your miniskirt or go out of your home without those concealers. Are you being controlled by your spider veins?
If you are looking for the ultimate cause of spider veins, then you are going to end up with zilch. Until now nobody can give you a straight answer to that. But then again, perhaps it will make things a little bit easier for you to know that there are a couple of factors that may lead to spider veins:
1. Heredity. According to studies, there are more women who develop spider veins than men. These are females who have mothers and female relatives who also possess such condition. This may be because weak vein valves are known to be inherited. Hereditary spider veins can be used to determine who can possibly develop the condition within your family and what probable age.
2. Hormonal changes. It's common for women to undergo hormonal changes, and there are several reasons for that. However, what you may not know is that it be a cause of spider veins. Just take pregnancy, for example. In order to provide blood circulation to the fetus, you body also needs to increase the volume of blood. This pressure, though, can weaken your vein walls, causing spider veins.
3. Body injuries. Men are prone to spider veins when they develop injuries because of blow-outs of varicose veins found near the spider veins. The extreme pressure coming from the blow-out veins will enlarge and stretch the other adjoining superficial veins. Thus, they become bigger in diameter and appear darker.
4. Feet and leg pressure. Every time you put too much pressure on your legs and feet, you are prone to develop those ugly spider veins. Constant standing or constant sitting can impede the proper circulation of the blood from the legs to the entire parts of the body and vice versa.
The cause of spider veins, even if left unknown, can be prevented. You need to exercise, with emphasis on the legs or load yourself with healthy vitamins to promote proper blood circulation. If you can, you may opt to consult a doctor and ask if there are surgical treatments that will help solve your cosmetic problem.
