6 by 9 Envelopes - What Are They For
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
With the introduction of the internet there has been a tremendous decrease in mail being delivered through the postal system. It seems that people want more instant gratification for their mail than the standard 3 to 5 day waiting period. Who knew? But some things cannot be replaced by surfing the net and 6 by 9 envelopes are one of them. These valuable instruments will withstand the test of time.
The reason for their continued popularity is that they are so versatile. Not only can you send documents folded, but many individuals cannot be pried away from developing pictures the old fashion way and mailing them. These paper carriers are perfect for that. Just slide in some cardboard protectors and your precious memories can be delivered safe and secure.
You can find them with the moisture strip that you lick to seal or there are pre-moistened versions that have a paper strip attached. All you need do is peel off the paper and it sticks. And of course, virtually all of them come with the reusable pronged clip that you separate to close.
But they still have a large presence in the business world, too. You can find them almost everywhere in the working class because of the insatiable need for original documents. The internet may be fast and secure, but it can't transport an original signature-yet. That's where these beauties come in. Taking essential paperwork straight to the client or even another facet of the company with ease and confidence.
You can also spot them in schools and colleges all over the nation. Even if you don't need something to be carried through the mail system they are still invaluable for storing papers until they are needed. Their smaller size makes them perfect for tucking away in portfolios or day planners- something a standard size sheet of paper could never pull off.
Children love their compact size simply for the comparison to their own sized world. They can relate to the smaller dimensions of 6 by 9 envelopes easily without it seeming so ominous to them. Kids love to have adult accessories that appear to be made especially for them and their smaller hands.
Like most other items of stationery, you will get the best deals and best price if you buy in bulk. The more the better. Believe me they will get used. Keep your costs down by thinking ahead and purchasing more than you need for the short term. You will be rewarded in the long term.
