A Powerful SC2 Terran Battlecruiser Technique

The Battlecruiser is one of the most feared units in the Terran army, despite the fact it has a lot of viable counters. The truth is that this unit is actually quite easy to stop with the right unit choice. Below, you will find strategies that allow every race easily dispatch the battlecruiser.
In an interesting twist, Terran players actually are the best race against the Battlecruiser. The Viking is an outright hard counter to the Battlecruiser. The Viking is equipped with anti-air missiles that are capable of piercing the Battlecruiser's thick hull.
In addition to dealing a lot of damage, Vikings are also a lot cheaper than Battlecruisers. Vikings can be produced about four times as quickly as a Battlecruiser, leading to even a better chance of victory. The best thing about Vikings though is that their high speed and range allow you to attack Battlecruisers from a safe distance, so those with good unit control can fight them without getting hit.
While not as effective as the Viking, the Zerg race's Corruptor is also effective against the Battlecruiser. The Battlecruiser mows down every other unit in the Zerg race so do not bother trying to experiment.
The high armor of the Battlecruiser significantly reduces Hydralisk damage, so must get some Corruptors. Casting Corruption also helps take out Battlecruisers even faster.
There is no hard counter for the Battlecruiser to be found in the Protoss army. The Protoss army does not have a good enough air superiority unit to use against the BC. The Phoenix is only effective versus light units and does not fare well versus armored air units.
Like many units, this Protoss air unit fires a volley of missiles rather than attacking in one solid shot. Both of these attacks are mitigated by the BC's natural 3 armor, reducing the damage by 60 percent. This renders the Phoenix essentially useless versus the Battlecruiser. Since Void Rays require 400 resource units to be built and can be nearly 1-shot by Yamato Cannon, these are also a poor choice for Protoss players.
I find that the Stalker is quite effective against the Battlecruiser especially when it has the Blink ability. While the Stalker is a very low-damage unit, it has a lot of HP so it can stand up against Battlecruisers for a very long time. Try to avoid fighting Battlecruisers at the edge of your base; it is best to meet them in the middle of the map. The larger your army is, the more careful you will have to be about getting all of your units in firing range.
You will need to research Blink. This will allow you to catch fleeing BCs as well as get your units in range. Guardian Shield significantly reduces Battlecruiser damage, so be sure to include a few Sentries for best results. The best thing about this combo is that the build time is so fast, you can easily outproduce a Terran player who is trying to max out on Battlecruisers.
