Write Your Book Now: Just Get Your Book Done

No matter how experienced you are as a writer, chances are you'll have to put up with writer's block at some point when writing your book. Actually, if you don't succumb to it, writer's block can help you to make your book even better.
In the past fifteen years or so, I haven't suffered from any blocks. In my early years as a novelist however, I did struggle with them. Finally I learned some tricks and strategies to help me to get over it when I felt that I was losing my enthusiasm and passion for a book.
Why does writer's block happen? Who knows? And really who cares? It's much more important to overcome it. Read on to find out how.
A good start is to write a short summary of your book; just like the blurbs on published books' back covers. Need ideas? A quick trip to the library or the bookstore to find works like yours will help find persuasive blurbs.
Once your blurb is done, compile all the information you know about the subject of your book. (If it's fiction you're working on, briefly summarize the plot.) Do this quick, without stepping away from your computer.
This may take you many hours. Keep going. This engages both your conscious and subconscious mind in the project, so that your subconscious mind keeps "working" on the book for you. It helps you to rebuild and reconnect with your initial inspiration.
Are you having fun? If you're not, your lack of enthusiasm will come through in your words. Get in touch with your original enthusiasm for the book, and remember why you want to write a book. Visualize. See your book on bookstore shelves.
Next, start to market as you write your book. Every writer needs to market his book. A publisher will not do it for you -- you're responsible for the sales of your book. In fact, the publisher will want to know what your plans are for marketing the book before you're offered a contract.
Your final step is to get a mentor for your book. Writing and publishing a book is a long process. You need instruction, guidance and inspiration from someone who's done it, and who can guide you through it.
So there you have it: easy ways you can conquer writer's block and write a book.
