Make sure that you have enough cash with you in case something wrong happens with your vehicle or any other bad incident. Also don't forget your mobile phone and the charger because without it the phone will be useless. Another important aspect is to have the right clothes with you.
If you travel to a place where can be found a lot of sun and water you just need some basic clothes. Nut if you choose to go to a ski resort then you will have to take with you some serious clothes because if you are not dressed properly you will not resist even a minute in the cold. Then is crucial to have with you the right shoes. If for example you go skiing you will need for that type of environment some proper shoes. Many people consider that going to someplace in their vacation is a very simple thing. It can be but with the right preparations. Even if you decide to go spontaneously you still need to do some preparations.
