When planning a family vacation, each family member often wants to go some place different, and Disney World is usually one of them chosen by the children in the family. Disney world, with all its rides, characters, and attractions, is probably the most popular theme park there is anywhere. It's definitely the most well known. Anyone that has ever gone there can tell you one thing: go there prepared!
There are different ways you can avoid as much stress as possible as well as save some money. While we think of vacations as a break from our normal routine and very relaxing, they often become stressful and one big headache.
The best time of year to go to Disney World is in January or February or after Labor Day thru the end of November. This is considered the off-season. You will not have to deal with the crowds of tourists you would in the summer. The airfare is often cheaper these times of year. Since Florida is warm year round, you will have nice weather without having to deal with the extreme heat.
Where you choose to say while at Disney World can also make a difference in your vacation. Many families choose to stay away from Disney World to save money. They usually wind up spending more money on bus, taxi or other transportation to get to and from their hotel, not to mention the inconvenience. Unless it's a large savings, consider staying inside of Disney World.
Research before you get there what types of rides and activities there are for each age group to avoid a lot of excess running around once you get there. A five-year old child is not going to enjoy the same type of thing a 13-year old will. The one thing they will all love is a day at the beach, however.
If you have young children, Cinderella's Castle, Mickey's Toon Town and Fantasy Land are all things they will love. They offer rides for young children six and under as well as having Disney characters roaming around shaking hands and smiling.
The indoor rollercoaster at Space Mountain will keep any teen happy. Magic Kingdom and Space Mountain are also popular with this age group. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will give them all the adventure they could want.
The entire family will enjoy a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad or a visit to Haunted Mansion. There are numerous activities for the entire family.
For your eating pleasure, you will have a surplus of places for good food and snacks.
