Whether you are a resident or a visitor, everyone loves New York. The beauty and vibrancy are second to none, and Manhattan is everything you thought it would be, and so much more!
I've done a great deal of exploring since I became a resident of Manhattan and the diverse people and places just blows me away. The only problem with New York is the sheer size of it; you never feel fully part of it, however hard you try.
From now on I'm concentrating on the best areas of Manhattan. I'm backing up my opinions with the reasons behind why I think they're so great. This is the real New York, so try them out next time you visit.
My first stop is the fabulous East Village. I visit this area regularly for the great bars and restaurants, try them out yourself.
If you want to shop for clothes, grab a drink, or choose from a great variety of food styles, the East Village is the place for you. Geared towards the younger age group of twenties and thirties, this square mile is busy, vibrant and very cosmopolitan. The Lower East side borders it at the bottom and it's very easy to cross from one to other without realising it.
At first glance the appearance of the West village looks very similar, but you will notice that is geared towards the mature age groups. This is a very attractive area, brimming with intimate cafes and designer clothing. The abundance of trees makes this area as attractive as it is popular.
One of the most naturally beautiful parts of the wonderful city is Central Park. Residing in the area known as the Upper West Side, this combines everything that you expect from Manhattan; style and elegance.
So now you know my favorite areas of Manhattan. Trust me, I could sit here and boast about this amazing city all day, but I'm going to stop now before I bombard you!
