The town itself is next to the famous Hratbeespoort dam wall and other smaller villages are located on the eastern banks of the dam. These include Meerhof, Melodie, Kosmos and Ifafi. On the west and south banks, you will find the famous gold estates, including the Pecanwood golf estate, which is frequented by amateur, as well as professional golf players.
