Leaving Your Physical Body - Astral Projection Techniques

Many different astral projection techniques are available for people to use and help them astral project. Every person is unique and what works for one person will not necessarily work for another.

Many people run into difficulties with various methods though, not because the method doesn't work, they are not able to relax.

It simply cannot be stressed enough that total relaxation is vital if you are to achieve any measure of success with astral projection. The inability to relax seems to be more prevalent between those just starting out, largely because of fear.

This fear is because of beliefs that are false that people could be harmed or die due to the astral projection. In an attempt to help wipe out these fears a research study was conducted by the Canterbury Institute, which happens to be known in the field of occult studies.

There were 2000 subjects involved in this study and all of them were participants in astral projection. What was found was that not a single individual, following the techniques of astral projection, were harmed in anyway. Even more significant, everyone, followed for three years and not one individual had complained of or suffered from any problems due to astral projection.

Now all concerns or fears can be forgotten and laid to rest and we can look at some of the seven techniques of astral projection. They are easy to use and have been very success for any number of people. This is the first of the seven techniques of astral projection.

* You must relax your body and your mind. There are numerous relaxation techniques that you can use. A simple one is just deep breathing, slowly and calmly. Deep inhales and deep exhales. Relaxing all the muscles in the body one at a time by tensing them and then releasing them, starting at the toes and working your way up the body.

* Enter into the hynagogic state. This is simply the where your mind and body are bordering going to sleep. You don't want to go to sleep. You can use the gazing method to do this. Focus on an object as you lay in bed, and keep staring at it until your eyes close and you are still able to see the object.

* When you reach a point where you can still see the object even though your eyes are closed, then you need to deepen your current state of mind even more. This can be done by looking around the room while your eyes remain closed. Amongst other things, you may very well begin to see some light patterns and even a sort of purplish haze inside the room. This is perfectly normal and there is no need for you to pay much attention to it. Instead, once the light is no longer visible you can take that as a sign that you've entered a deeper state. In all probability you will be so relaxed by this stage that you'll hardly be aware of your physical body at all.

* The state of Vibration is the next to accomplish. People who have practiced the techniques of astral projection have noticed they feel these vibrations early into the projections. These people believe the feelings experienced is believed by them that this is the feeling when the astral body leaves your physical body. Nothing to be alarmed about, it is the vibrations you feel.

* You now need to be in control during the state of vibration. To accomplish this you must focus on the vibrations, move them through your body and do this with your mind. Feel the vibrations within your whole body, as if ocean waves are washing over you. Practice this until you are successful bringing these waves to you on demand. When this is accomplished, you are ready to leave the body.

* Now think about control. Use the power of your mind, and you will at this point begin a partial separation. This is something that can enhance your control and your ability to affect your astral travel. Start by thinking of yourself as leaving the physical body. Think about an astral vision of your hand stretching away from you, towards the wall or the floor, and then push yourself though it. This can be difficult to master, but take your time. Once you have done this, return your hand or foot back to your physical body, where you will slow down the vibration and return yourself to a full awake and aware stage.

* At this stage, you are ready to leave the body entirely. Start by repeating steps one through six until you feel comfortable, and then, when you are ready, move completely into your astral body. You will find that this can feel a little strange and that you might need some visualization to get you started. Think about how you can release your body and how it feels so light. Think about how wind can blow it here and there and how weightless you are. You may feel as though you are flying or floating.

There are different methods for you to try. One method is the Rope Technique, also the Gazing Method, and then the Anchor Technique. Spending time trying these method to find which is suited to you. There is an astral projection technique for everyone. You just need to find one that is best for you.

You may however not have immediate results regardless of the technique used, it make take you plenty of practice to achieve desired results.

Fortunately a short cut is out there. The recent developments in sound technology, has produced a lot of audio tools which can help you. The new techniques have special sound frequencies called Binaural beats. These sound frequencies synchronize both hemispheres of the brain. And put you quickly into a meditative state needed for astral projection.

You will also find that you may be able to get some good from listening to quality astral projection techniques hypnosis recordings. You will find that these are instrumental when it comes to convincing your subconscious mind that it is acceptable for your astral body to leave the physical one.
