There's not much to say when you see a big add in the paper saying: Learn Japanese in one week, expect for smiling. We all know that learning a language is something that takes time and that everyone wants to reduce that time as much as possible.
But still, 7 days ? Never mind what I think, but remember that looking for ways to learn a new language in one week is an empty quest, because those ways don't exist for people like you and me, maybe only for those who unfortunately suffer from autism, as they perceive letters and words in a different way. There's no easy way to learn a language, and there's certainly no fast way.
The best way to learn a new language is online. Of course that teacher held classes in Universities or other locations can be useful, but these classes are very far sometimes and must be attended at certain hours. It's hard to go to such a class when you don't feel well, you don't fell like learning or you have other more important things to do. In case of online learning, this aspects are no longer relevant. You can learn when you feel able to and have to necessary time.
Each online course in structured into session that take a couple of hours, but it's better to spread them over many days so you can learn just a half hour or one hour each day. It's proved that too much information at once will cause the braid to overload and actually stock nothing. There are persons who choose to take their language learning along with them to work, and simply buy some ipod cheap speakers to help them hear better the music or stories in their office Don't underestimate this aspect: if you have fun while you're learning you will be surprised of the result.
Every one focuses on the fun part of learning. Anything that is fun can be learnt in 10 minutes, like word puzzles. If you don't have a lot of free time and you don't feel like starting an online course just yet, those 10 minutes of play during your lunch break will do all the difference. Of course, you will learn the language in a longer time, but the learning process will be easier.
