How To Stop Divorce (Even If Your Husband Cheated On You)
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
You've found out that your husband cheated on you. No matter how hurt you are, you can't seem to stop loving him. In fact you still love him despite of that act. You want to stop the idea of getting a divorce. How on earth are you going to do that?
Good and Bad
Tendency is, you will feel like its good to shut off all emotions you feel and hide from the world, especially from the people you had caused you pain. If that happens, it will make life easier; you just don't feel anything at all. But, on the other hand, would life be complete if you do that? Probably not.
There is a belief, taken from the Chinese concept of yin and yang that says opposites actually compliment each other. You can't appreciate the true meaning of happiness if you haven't felt pain at all.
If you don't want to feel any emotional pain especially in relationships, then you will not be able to appreciate the fact that loving someone and being loved in return requires a lot of emotions.
Creating a Comfortable Atmosphere
Here's more. We hurt those people we love because we know that they love us as well. You feel really hurt when you've found out that your husband cheated on you because of the love you feel for him.
It does not mean that after learning that, you stop all the emotional connection you have with your husband, no. In fact, it did not erase all the love you felt for him after being together for how many years.
So how do you recapture and draw in the pleasure? How do you attract the good things in your relationship to you so that you can get his attention to win him back?
1. Take a deep breath and remember all the good things you shared together. The more memories you have the better is it to prepare for the new chapter of your life together.
2. Show him that you would like to work things out between the two of you. He may be your husband, alright, he may know you well but he is not a mind reader. Let him know that you are willing to start a new. Let him know that you are giving him a chance to start all over again.
3. Be patient. Really, in times like this, patience is a real virtue. Don't rush things. Both of you need plenty of time to think about the possible outcome of getting a divorce, seriously. Not only financially but also emotionally and socially.
