If money is tight you might want to consider a smaller scale version like the expensive restaurant of your dreams for dessert instead of dinner.
3) Place all your cards on the table and have a long and honest conversation. This is huge when it comes to restoring your relationship or even starting over. There comes a time when you just have to bite the bullet and confess to your relationship crimes so you can move on to a clean start and a new future that will hopefully only sentence you to time served and a stiff warning for the future.
4) Do something kind and thoughtful for your ex. Sometimes there is a lot of bitterness, passion, and raw emotion that goes into the ending of a relationship. It's hard on everyone involved. It's especially hard on the one who isn't ready for it to end. This is usually when harsh words are said in and attempt to get through the haze of numbness that tends to wash over everyone at a certain point. Don't let that happen to you. Be kind and thoughtful and get through the haze in a positive manner. It creates a lasting impression and paints you in a positive light.
