This can be a simple night out on the town or an elaborate Las Vegas weekend. Members of the wedding party are responsible for purchasing their own out fits for the event and for traveling to the wedding itself.
Additionally, the attendants will probably be given jobs that will help you plan your actual wedding. Specific responsibilities can vary from wedding party to wedding party. However, one of the most difficult things to do is to decide how many attendants you want to have on your big day.
Choosing your bridal party is a very personal decision. It is really up to the couple as to who they want to stand with them on their big day. However, it can be difficult decide how to choose between close friends. On average brides and grooms typically have anywhere from 1-6 attendants per side. Often a bride and groom will also elect to have a flower girl and/or ring bearer. Within those numbers though there is not really a hard and fast rule that you have to follow.
When you are considering an affair that can best be called small and intimate, why not keep the wedding attendants down to one or two? With a larger or more formal wedding, it is not unheard of to have as many as twelve attendants! No matter what, though, make sure that you make a choice that will please you when look back on it in the years to come. Your wedding can be a very personal expression of your love and your marriage, so consider how many people you want involved in it!
