Ladies Petite Golf Sets: Are They Right For You?
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
Have you recently started golfing and find yourself wanting to know whether you need to search for ladies petite golf sets or would standard sets be more appropriate? Shopping for golf clubs is similar to shopping for pants. When you want to buy a pair of pants then height is really important in determining the size you need and the same holds true for selecting golf clubs. Ladies pants come in average, tall and petite sizes ... just like clubs.
If your height is less than 5 feet 2 inches then ladies petite golf sets are probably appropriate for you. Ladies whose height ranges between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 8 inches normally use standard club sets. Ladies over 5 feet 8 inches traditionally use tall length clubs. These are typical representations for club sizes; there are no industry standards. The best way to find your size is by trying different clubs.
Sometimes new golfers are unaware of the impact that using wrong golf clubs can have on their game. You will find ladies golf sets are lighter than men sets. Unless you possess a powerful swing, the lighter club should enable you to have more control over your swing.
Ladies petite golf sets contain clubs that are an inch shorter than those in standard sets. This is another factor that influences control over your swing. If your club is too long, your swing will be impacted. When your swing is hindered your performance will suffer.
Feeling and gripping the clubs is an important part of the process when selecting clubs. Trying different ones is a good way to find out what feels best for you.
When beginning the process of choosing clubs your local golf pro shop is a great place to start. You can try a few of them out while there and also take time to talk with the golf pro to see what they might suggest for you.
When searching for a set of clubs, should you find a used set that meets your needs and is a good deal then don't hesitate to buy. A lot of beginner golfers start their golf journey with a used set of clubs or a starter set.
Over the years golfing has increased in popularity for lady golfers. Manufacturers have recognized this fact and as a result have included more women products in their manufacturing line. In today's market it is easy to find a wide range of golfing products to meet almost anyone's needs, which includes ladies petite golf sets.
