Indoor golf simulator packages

An indoor golf simulator is a golf course that is graphically simulated so that it can be set up in an indoor area where golfers can use the golf course to play virtual golf. Indoor golf simulators have been in use for the last 4 decades and the golf system packages come in a range of prices as low as $200 to those that may cost a few thousand dollars. Depending upon the size and the technology you want to use for the indoor golf simulators, you may need to decide upon adding virtual golf paraphernalia including screens, projectors and even a dedicated space or room.
A simple indoor golf simulator monitors how the hand-held sensor is being moved by the player and then relays the information to a computer which in turn calculates the speed of the club head and the pace with which the golf ball is being hit. More advanced versions of the golf simulators work using software that keep track of each shot and the flight of the ball. This helps the golfer to know exactly how each shot was played. This form of simulation is often used for training and instruction for budding golf players.
The typical size of the golf range used in indoor golf facilities is usually 4 x 6 meters and a height of 3 meters is required. For advanced simulators, a height of 8-ft may be required to give players enough space to swing the club head as well as facilitate ease of movement.
The screen holds special importance in the game of indoor golf simulation. What makes it more realistic is the use of 3D graphics, sound and visual effects which make a golfer feel he is really in the middle of a golf course on a bright sunny morning rather than in a closed area where the outside weather may actually be cold and freezing.
The other equipment used here could include traditional golf balls, and golf bats or club heads made of wood and putters and irons. The simulator consists of software that measures hits, a projector and of an impact-resistant material or fabric that will take the impact of the ball. In old simulators, the ball was held by a tether whereas in modern simulators, the ball is free and hits the screen on being hit.
You can find out more about indoor golf simulation packages from various online stores that sell indoor golf simulation products. The local yellow pages can be of help too. It is important to remember that you must look for a service provider who gives you very good after sales service as well. This is particularly of importance because the screen in an indoor golf simulator tends to require replacement at regular intervals.
The indoor golf simulators include golf courses from all over the world that are simulated to make the players feel they are actually playing on a real golf course. You can get anywhere from 5 golf courses to a choice of over 65 golf courses on your indoor golf simulators depending upon your budget.
