Research Features And Services At Braai Spots Before Going There

South Africans adore to braai! Our weather conditions are excellent more often than not and our panoramas can compare with the most wonderful locations in the world, so it is quite understandable that we love to pack our motors and bakkies and go to the nearest braai spot for a proudly South African braai! Because there are many braai spots to pick and choose from, finding the perfect spot is quite easy, right? Regrettably, not quite!
While many venues and resorts state they have the most amazing braai spots available, a few of these spots might turn out to be quite disappointing, as numerous avid braaiers have discovered over time. So what on earth should you watch out for before choosing your next braai spot? Location, location location... plus amenities, amenities, amenities!
Location is critical. While braai spots "within a few minutes of any major highway" might sound very attractive, it might turn out to be a bit of grass near the highway, with road racket and petrol toxins ruining your appetite and your stress-free day out with friends. A braai spot "off the beaten track" might sound just as appealing, but might end up being so far of the beaten track that you'll require a donkey cart or a horse to ultimately get to the braai spot. Make sure you research this before packing your charcoal and firelighters!
As mentioned, the amenities at the braai spots are just as essential. Some destinations have luscious green grass and plenty of trees, while some might have play areas for the children, a nice scenic nature trail and possibly a crystal clear swimming pool area to cool off in. Some sites will have very fancy braaiers, while some might only offer you a couple of bricks and a dirty braai grid. Be sure to investigate all amenities before selecting the best braai spot.
One of the most effective ways to uncover braai spots is by logging onto the internet and doing a quick online search. After that you can easily compare quite a few possible venues, take a look at their location, amenities and rates, and make an informed decision from there.
