's grandson Randy (Jeremy Nike jordan), a good-looking bad boy who instantly swallows a shine to Vi Rose's ready-to-blossom 16-year-old little princess Olivia (Keke Palmer), the choir's singing star who's wanting to blossom as a fresh woman, but not if your ex hyper-vigilant mom has anything to state about it.
Currying favor with your skeptical Vi Rose, ever-clever Randy takes below wing her other youngster, Walter (Dexter Darden), who has Asperger's, hides behind shades, might be gay and also, epitomizing the script's complete inability for being subtle when stating the well known items is an option, announces, "I just wish I could truthfully be normal. " Functionally, Randy is like a twin brother on the central character in Footloose in the manner he shakes up any backwater community and injects living into its cultural/musical scene.
