Man Guilty Of Strange Bacon Related Crime

Police have begun investigating an extremely strange crime that was carried out in the middle of the night at a family home in Surrey. The crime involved one man and bacon and carries a possible charge of burglary.
The man has broken into the house and stole a packet of bacon from the fridge leaving one rasher placed strategically over the door handle on his way out of the property.
The Surrey police force have begun searching for the thief who also stole a telephone from the property. The man entered the home in Redhill during the early hours of the morning on Saturday when the homeowners were sleeping inside.
Detective Constable Julian Knowles has been quoted as saying that the homeowners involved were, 'at a loss,' as to why somebody would attempt to steal a packet of bacon- even more confusing was the placing of the bacon on the door handle.
The investigating police force have released footage of the suspect caught on CCTV and have announced that they are hoping somebody will be able to come forward and identify him.
The police force and the homeownershave been left bewildered and confused as to why the burglar acted in such a peculiar way. There was no damage to the house or the contents and the telephone that was stolen was also later recovered. The fact that no damage was suffered and that nothing was stolen makes the crime seem even more bizarre.
The suspect has been described as being white and having short dark hair and a moustache. He was said to have been wearing a dark T-shirt which had a white pattern or motif in it and a pair of dark colour trousers. At the time of the incident the family were said to be in a deep sleep and not heard anything.
Officers are encouraging witnesses to come forward and give any information they night have. Although no damage was incurred and nothing stolen the police are maintaining that this is a serious crime and needs to be investigated fully.
