Surely you are not still using static HTML to design your various affiliate reviewing sites? From personal experience, I know well how much time is required to create a static HTML page. To do each web page of an entire website from start to finish will require an entire week. Then, if you decide to put in a new page, or alter something, you have to start over. Do you really have that much time on your hands?
I highly Recommend using CMS (Content Management System) to build your website. There are a lot of popular free CMS including WordPress, Joomla, Xoops, Plone and so on. Most of these programs are also open source, so they are flexible and available for personal or even commercial use.
Personally, I have developed many WP review websites and have found it very easy to do. To design a single page of a website nowadays, I do not have to utilize any of the tools for page development. You just need an installed copy of WordPress, which many web hosts will add for free, choose a free theme and add any plug-ins you might need for extra functionality. Your review website will be ready to go in no time at all!
Some themes are better than other for developing review websites. A theme should be properly optimized and redesigned as a landing page. Are you wondering what you need to focus on when developing a theme?
Here are my suggestions as to what to focus on:
1. Up on the top of your homepage, you should eliminate navigation.
2. Turn off your various widgets. There should be nothing the takes your visitors away from your theme.
3. Make use of a light or white background with dark text so it is easy to read.
4. Sort the sequence of the posts. Your best selling item should be on the very first post. Then sort the sequence by descending!
Those were only a couple of ideas to get your WP review site up and running. For constructing review sites, you must locate some appropriate themes, as well as a few good related plugins.
