3. Make sure there are affiliate programs for what you want to sell. You can do this by visiting online retailer websites with the product you have chosen. Usually at the bottom of the home page there will be a link to something like "affiliate program". Most of these programs are free and easy to sign up for. This enables you to put a link from your website to theirs, and earn a commission every time you refer someone that purchases.
4. Build websites about your niche markets. There are a few different strategies for this. One is to post reviews about a certain product with a link to purchase the products from the online retailer you are working for. (Obviously this will need to be a positive review.) You can also post information about the market, and post links to products on the side. You will also need to decide if you want to use a web host or just use a blogging website. To make sure people will be able to find your website you will also need to perform SEO (search engine optimization).
5. Use CRM software to manage all of your contacts. To be successful with affiliate marketing, you are going to be talking to more people than you will be able to keep track of. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software can help you keep track of all those people, and remember to follow up will all of them when you need to. It is a great tool that makes the life of any online marketer much easier.
