4. Ask for the error correction task to be done online, via Skype. If you send the above described task by email, it is easy for the candidate to ask for help. By asking them to do it live, via skype chat, it is nearly impossible for them to escape doing it themselves.
5. Discuss the volume of writing output that you'll expect ahead of time. But avoid asking for any kind of software time tracking to be used. You don't want to make your writer feel like he is punching a time clock. That's not cool. Focus on quality and quantity, rather than hours.
6. In the early stages of training, be picky. Ask your writer to revise work that is not perfect. But do it politely. This will set the tone for the quality that you expect without making you seem rude or unappreciative.
If you stick with these ideas, you will accomplish more through outsourcing.
