All dive holidays sold by tour operators must include a certified guide. If they don't - don't book them! Lastly, make sure you're happy with the accommodation and the area where your resort is situated. You will need to have dry days on your dive holiday, so it's important that you can have just as great a time out of the water as in it. Consider an island location that gives you a chance to sample some local culture as well as the mysteries of the deep.
