Costa Rica
When drawing up your Central America travel itinerary, do not forget to put this country on top of your list. Costa Rica is one of the prime eco-tourism destinations in Central America and for good reasons. This place has lush green surroundings and pristine beaches. You can easily find a rental villa by beach around the Costa Rican countryside. Most of these villas are available on long term lease so if you are planning to stay for a few weeks or months in this lovely country, why not live in a villa by the sea?
Guatemala
If you are a history buff and you are looking for some great Mayan temples, you should never forget to visit Guatemala during your travel to Central America. This country has some of the best Maya sites in all of Latin America. You will definitely find a lot of interesting things around this country. Moreover, Guatemala is known for its unique culture and traditions so if you are planning to learn more about Latin Americans, the best place to start would be Guatemala.
