King Flat Sheets Are A Must For A Good Night's Rest

A king flat sheet is a terrific partner in a king sheet set. The fitted sheet as most people know is called such because it fits over the mattress. The corners are elasticized and easily slip over the edge of the bed to snugly fit the mattress.
The king flat sheet does not have elasticized corners, it is simply flat and lays on top of the mattress without gripping on to it, this makes it easier to get under the sheet. The flat sheet is used between the fitted sheet and the blanket.
Lets address size, it does matter. A king flat sheet may be used on a queen size bed, but a queen flat sheet can not be used on a king size bed. The king sized sheet is going to be big enough for both the queen size bed and the king sized bed, but the queen size sheet will probably be only able to fit the queen sized bed it will be far too small for the king size bed.
There are actually several different types of materials that are used to make this kind of sheet out of. A favorite is Egyptian cotton. This kind of cotton has long been heralded as the softest material. It is of course the one of the most expensive of the materials. There's a full litany of materials which are used, linen, satin, silk, brushed cotton, flannel just to name the most popular.
Each and every material has its own following, people who swear that a specific material is superior to other types of material.
Many of the time you'll buy the king flat sheet as part of a set, that comes with the fitted sheet and a couple of pillow cases. Although it has become quite popular to purchase your sheets completely separate from each other, this is done so that the sheets can be contrasted with each other. For instance you could possibly purchase a dark chocolate fitted or bottom sheet and a light sand top or flat sheet, just to add a little of the designers touch to your bedding.
The price is generally right around the same amount whether you buy your king flat sheet alone or as part of a set. Needless to say there's a little of savings realized when you buy the set because you get the pillow cases as well.
A king flat sheet is a necessary part of your bedding set for your king size bed.
