Traditional design calls for furniture that is either antique or close to antique looking, with that touch of European style in it. Also use of Persian rugs or even Oriental rugs will go great with the traditional style. Which ever rug you choose make sure it adds some warmth to the room, but doesn't distract from the other things in the room.
