We all know that wall stickers are easy to apply but how easy are they to remove? Simple with our step by step guide as the condition of the wall / surface, quality of the sticker and other factors will determine the ease of removal.
Wall removal
Pull the sticker too quickly and paint may become attached and also rip the sticker so the main key point is to keep the paint intact.
1. In some cases the sticker will remove quite easily so test the it by slowly pulling at a corner to see how adhered it is.
2. If the sticker is firmly stuck then use a hairdryer (on a warm setting) to slowly heat the corner, then once it starts getting easier to peel, apply heat to the next area as you slowly remove the sticker.

4. Usually with the heat removal there isn't any residue but if there is try soapy water but if this doesn't remove it then use an adhesive remover or even wd-40 / nail polish remover (always try a small area first to test it and use sparingly).
Removing from glass
Unfortunately as wall stickers adhere so well to glass they can be a bit harder to remove but at least you don't have to worry about paint coming off with it! If you have a diy glass scraper then this can also be used in conjunction with the points below.
1. Straight to the hairdryer! Use a hairdryer on a warm setting, slowly heating the corner. Then keep applying heat to the area that you are peeling off until the whole sticker is removed.
2. If there is any residue left on the wall then use some soapy water to carefully remove. If this doesn't work then a dedicated adhesive remover or even WD-40 should do the trick. As a last resort try some nail polish remover but use sparingly and test an area first.
If you follow the above instructions then you won't have a problem removing your wall stickers and certainly not the problems usually associated with wallpaper removal. Above all be patient!
