Using The Right Gardening Tools Gets The Job Done
Go to: Previous Article Next Article
Nobody says that you have to buy a bunch of expensive gardening equipment if you want to grow a nice garden but having the right gardening tools at your disposal will certainly help things along. Obviously you can use your hands for digging holes but why bother when you can use your garden trowel to do it for you. No matter what you want to do, having the right tools is very important.
If you are new to gardening, deciding which tools to use can be hard. These are just a few of the tools that every gardener should have if he or she wants to grow a marvelous garden.
Gardening gloves are something that every gardener should have whether you are a beginner or an expert. Your gardening gloves will protect your hands while you work in your garden. Most gardeners like working the earth with their bare hands but sometimes gloves are necessary for protection.
A good example of this is the way your gloves prevent you from being scratched or stuck by thorns when you work with rosebushes. Gardening gloves also protect your hands from the residue that is left behind by compost and fertilizer. Wearing gloves also protects you against the various creatures (like bugs) that might inhabit your garden.
Wovels are very important tools for gardeners. A wovel can either have a short handle or a long handle. Typically a wovel is a shovel that has a rounded point. Many gardeners prefer short handled wovels because they help a gardener balance while longer handled wovels do not. The wovel's main purpose is to dig holes. Gardeners use wovels to help them move plants from one location to another without having to stress out about the root systems or root bulbs of the plants. Wovels can also be used to tamp down dirt as you move your plants or do your seed planting.
