You should teach your child the proper way to solve problems and conflicts as soon as you can, this is an important thing for your child to learn. If you have more than on child you will quickly learn the importance of teaching your children how to resolve conflicts as sooner or later siblings will start to squabble. Children with siblings are engaged in some sort of social behavior almost from birth even if it is only with their brothers and sisters. Conflicts are inevitable and they will become part of your children's day as well as how to stop them.
At early ages children are on a voyage of self-exploration and self-discovery. From there your child will see your child playing with other children in an area but not as a group. this means that children will be playing together "geographically" but with their own playthings and toys. The next step comes when your child is around the age of two or three and they begin to interact with other children, this is when conflict resolution and problem solving start coming into play.
If you decide to home school you child you have the unique opportunity to teach your child the skills they will need to resolve conflicts and the techniques required to solve problems without simply solving them yourself. The most important part of conflict resolution is to get the child to express them selves and their feelings and help them get past their first emotional reaction. This can take a little getting used to and it is always a good idea to talk to your child about what happened when they have calmed down enough. Talking about past conflict and how they could of or should of reacted will trigger emotionally growth in your child.
Because children aren't born with an ability to communicate effectively they will use crying and screaming to get the things that they want or need. Within a public school there is no time for your child to grow emotionally. But if you are homeschooling your child then you should make this a practiced activity.
Teaching your children the skills they need to socialize with other children forms a central part in their social understanding that will last them throughout their lives. Without these tools your children will likely resort to force and emotional behavior to solves their problems.
