The Victorian period is the period between the year 1837 and the year 1900 and is one of the best eras in the world history. This is known to be one of the most imperative eras in the record of England and has seen some of the grand work in the department of art and culture. I must say that during this era there have been many Victorian painters who have excelled in their field. Most of them are well-known. If I would be asked to take some of the names then they are the names like John Emmes, Sir Samuel, Walter crane, Sir Edwin, Arthur Hughes and so on. I actually feel that the majority of them were merely great artists and completed this era to be known as the great period of the artists.
This period is known for its classicism, Neoclassicism, romanticism, impressionism as well as the post impressionism. The art of this period shows full range of the imaginative works. There were so many fine-looking paintings made throughout this period that you will be quiet beleaguered. Most of those paintings showed that the world was now on the rise and budding at very high speed.
The hot topics for work of art in this period were imperialism, religious belief as well as all the words which I have stated before.
