Low testosterone levels in men can be an indicator of poor health. Most people only consider the sexual component, but there are other more serious issues which you may not be aware of. Loss of energy, depression, weight gain, vascular problems, lowered bone density, and sleeping problems can all be attributed towards a decrease in testosterone. You may be doing the same amount of exercise that you normally perform but it appears that you are gaining weight. It may not simply a matter of getting older. Your hormone levels could be dropping. The first sign of such is a decrease in muscle mass and increase in fat. Your weight scale may rise and the clothes that you own are fitting tighter than before.

Cholesterol levels can play an role in heart attacks. However recent studies have indicated that those with a decrease in male hormone levels have a greater chance of having a heart attack. Even if you exercise this may pose an unforeseen threat.
Low testosterone levels are vital to understand. If you are having any of the above symptoms you may want to investigate further by having a test to check your hormone levels. This can advise you on where you are and any solutions that can be done to raise the levels to improve your health.
