Updating Your Bathroom On A Budget

Bathrooms often need updating. Every few years a bathroom could use a mini makeover. Here are some steps to help you get an updated, better looking bathroom.
First, start your makeover by actually deep cleaning your bathroom. Grab a trash bag and get rid of any trash or useless items that you no longer need. You can also de-clutter the bathroom by deciding which items you should move to another room and which items to get rid of.
Clutter automatically makes your bathroom look smaller. I know I am guilty of having 6+ shampoo and conditioner bottles in my shower. Downsize the items in your bathroom and be sure to deep clean everything.
Your shower curtain can look like new by throwing it in the wash. Use a brightening, stain fighting agent, like Oxi-clean, to get it to look its best. If your curtain is trashed you can usually find a new curtain for less than $30.
Have your bath and body products match the dcor of the bathroom. If you have shades of green and blue, have your bath and body products reflect that color scheme. Also, have your bath and body items coordinate. If you have coconut lime soap, use coconut lime lotion to go with it.
The cabinets are also important. They are one of the main features in the bathroom. Deep clean them so they look their best. Another way to update your cabinets when you don't want to replace them is to just replace the knobs.
A fresh coat of paint on the walls can help make the walls look nicer. Be sure to wipe down the walls first. Sometimes cleaning the walls can make the room look nice enough that you don't have to end up painting it.
New paint can give your bathroom a dramatic look. Keep the walls complimentary to the dcor of the room. Try thinking of good accent colors to give your bathroom an updated look.
