Pheromones are present in many organisms also in the microscopic organism, e.g. amoeba and also found in monkeys, fish, hamster, etc.
In the beginning, some scientist believed that the vomeronasal organ (VNO) is useless, and it has no function it is functionless, but when the Genetic research was proceeded then they concluded that in our Olfactory System, there is a vomeronasal organ (VNO) is present, which acts as a receptor of pheromones.
After complete examination, experiment and verification, scientists concluded that the vomeronasal organ (VNO) is present in only adult humans, and they also concluded that a human has the ability to communicate the other human of the opposite sex through pheromone by utilizing the vomeronasal organs VGO and also with six senses.
It is observed that the women who are living together keep pads under the armpits during specific periods of their menstrual cycle. Everyone has to wear the gauze pad approximately eight hours. This cycle is carried out for several days. This shows that women have pheromones, which moderate their sexual requirements and sexual activities. With the research, we have come to know that the animals secrete out pheromones for many purposes like to explain their behavior, to attract their mates, as a signal of danger or fear, etc.
