Motivation for Financial Success is not Necessarily Based on Greed

A life free of the material things can certainly have merit. But there is a difference between material greed and seeking financial comfort for you and your family. You must also discover the path to success that makes the most sense to you.
Prosperity and Materialism are not Identical Concepts
To go down the road to financial success without guilt or fear, you need to understand the difference between gluttony and prosperity. As with so many things in life, the difference lies in your actions and motivations.
Before you listen to another self-help audio book, before you pray to win the lottery, and before you invest in another business opportunity, I want you to stop. Ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?"
The answer that comes to you may surprise you. Hardly anyone goes after prosperity because they want to sit around and do nothing for the rest of their lives. Wealth for wealth's sake is not their motivation. The motivation behind achieving financial success is rooted firmly in the desire to live out their lives free of the stress that comes with not having money to pay bills, to buy food or put a roof over theirs and their family's heads.
When you have money worries, there is no way you can relax and enjoy your family. You will fight with your spouse and you will have to forgo spending time with friends at a night out because you can't afford the gas, the tickets or the dinner. You don't have the resources to give back to your community and share with your favorite charity as you would like to do.
When That's Your Motivation, There's an Opportunity Out There Waiting for You
There is a road leading to success for you and it has nothing to do with a winning lottery ticket. Every one of us has happiness in their future if they just knew what to look for.
There will always be difficult choices in life that have to be made. Optimists see a glass half full of water; pessimists see the same glass as half-empty. The truth of the matter is there is a glass with water in it. That glass is rarely overflowing with water or completely empty. That would make the whole thing to easy. Your only job, then, is to decide how to perceive that glass and follow your instincts.
Call it luck, call it fate, call it your place in the cosmos. Whatever your philosophy, success awaits you. The only one standing between you and success is you.
