Global warming is a hard fact that probably none of us would wish to deal with. But let's face it, it is real and it is happening at a pace neither one of us can comprehend and control. With the increase in temperature over the years, it's no wonder that ice are melting over at North and South pole. But there are many things about global climate changes that are still unknown to us, what we do know is that if this continue, inevitably human race will be wiped off from the face of the earth.
Just how dangerous is global warming?
It is certainly untrue to think that melted ice would not affect you, although it would not directly affect us, we will still suffer in the long run. This is because with the increase in sea level, the temperature will be changed and thus many marine life might not be able to adapt to that and will eventually die off. When that happens our food chain and balance is affected, and thus in the long run we might end up starving due to a lack of food.
Another thing you need to keep in mind in terms of rising sea level is that some countries and island which is very close to the sea might be submerged if things are left un-checked. Many have already reported that their country is already sinking and pretty soon it will be covered by the sea, losing millions and millions of life and properties.
Severe hurricanes and thunderstorms are also predicted to happen as a result of that, and unfortunately not every country or every where are equipped with state of the art technology that can handle and take precaution against such happening, casualties will be inevitable.
With a change in climate and temperature, it could very well affect the chance of spreading new disease that were evolved from this climate change. Diseases and viruses evolves, can our technology and scientist keep up to combat them?
Another notable effect of global warming is the fact that it will affect our crops, higher temperature will make growing crops harder because of the increase in rain fall as well as the decline in snow fall. Crops that depends on cold weather will especially suffer.
So if you're still wondering if global warming can kill us, yes it can, in fact it has the potential to end our civilization if we do not do anything about it! So start doing your part by cutting down on waste and carbon emission to the face of the earth.
