Many people think that San Antonio only has lands and the military. Well, there is a better reason for millions of tourists visiting San Antonio annually.
San Antonio, the second largest largest city of Texas with a rich cultural Hispanic heritage. Its population is about 1.3 million people and it is the seventh largest city in the whole country. Every year, about 26 million visitors come to see this interesting city.
The River Walk is a network of walkways that runs along the San Antonio River and is close to the main streets of downtown San Antonio. It features a pedestrian street a step below downtown San Antonio, lined with bars, cafes and shops.
The Sea World San Antonio is another reason tourists come to this city. This marine-life themed park is part of the Sea World chain. It plays host to an annual Halloween party called Howl-O-Scream. This annual Halloween event features Jack the Pumpkin King along with Haunted Houses and Scare Zones, providing spooky fun and thrill.
The McNay Art Museum is a place for art people. It is the first modern art museum in all of Texas. The American art teacher and painter Marion Koogler McNay is credited for this museum.
In the museum, you can now find 19th and 20th century European and American art pieces from famous artists like Diego Rivera and Pablo Picasso. It has about 14 000 art pieces now. It essentially contains the finest collection of Contemporary Art and Culture in Southwest US.
The people of San Antonio have a lot to be proud of. Apart of its rich cultural heritage and diverse population and its wealthy oil industry which made millionaires, it is home to one of NBA's most successful teams in the league's history. The San Antonio Spurs is the pride of Texas.
