There has been a sharp increase in the amount of families choosing to use the homeschool model of education. The US has seen a steep incline in violent crimes in schools across the country over the last 10 years or so. So it's no wonder why parents want to do everything possible to protect their children. The desire to provide a higher quality of education to their children is an important factor for many parents. In Many US states, educational standards have decreased and there is evidence that supports that notion. What many parents like is the range of options available for choosing text books. As we all know no solution will be exactly perfect, although, there are certainly an abundance of benefits to parents and children alike when homeschooling.
Many parents will consider a teacher to student metric as they look at new schools for their children to attend if the ratio is too high they will look elsewhere. The ratio of students to teachers is a prime indicator of several things including individual attention. Teachers simply don't have the time to give every child the quality attention they might need due in part to the overcrowded schools they work in. There are many students who can benefit from receiving more attention. This situation is resolved with homeschooling. The degree of individual attention a homeschooled child receives can be as great or as minimal as is required for the child to learn. Regardless of the subject matter, that attention alone can make the biggest difference in the child's success of learning the new subject.
When children are given an education that is of high value and varied, they can grow courageous and can think for themselves. Along that line, they can also become much more critical and intelligent thinkers. Public schools do not have the time to focus on these qualities in education. Logically, they attempt to teach the lawful requirements. That attitude simply tends to filter down into the quality of education, for the most part. Still, the elements of homeschooling can change and give a stronger criteria in education.

It can be fun and exciting to explore and learn as parent and child in a homeschooling environment. The reason for this is there is more opportunity to put creativity into education. There is of course, no reason that everything should be taught in a classroom. Stimulating young minds is often accomplished by making learning fun, new and exciting. A greater interest in learning and education are often the result of this stimulation.
