BlackBerry is still on the right move for the enterprise

If there is a debate like which Smartphone is best for the enterprise in the hottest sector of mobile computing, we say, it is still BlackBerry (yes, still!). When people concern about BlackBerry’s future when the Smartphone race is lining up behind Android and iPhone, we would like to say, there is a room for BlackBerry to take a move. BlackBerry is still the Smartphone market leader in the U.S. and most of the enterprises are still dedicated to BlackBerry which can keep pace with iPhone and Android.
It is true that Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone are generating all the biz in recent days, but Research In Motion is still winning over companies and IT departments in the enterprises by making the right moves towards the right direction.
BlackBerry’s Open development platform and a large library of BlackBerry APIs provide deep integration into the Operating System. As the platform is based on enterprise bent Java, it helps BlackBerry Application Development company to build scalable and secured applications for enterprises. As BlackBerry Applications can be deployed OTA, this is considered as one of the benefit over iPhone, as Apple allows apps deployment only through iTunes or the Apple App Store. Building the hardware, the operating system, and the backend software (BES) allows BlackBerry security to remain air-tight.
However, IT enterprise’s affinity for BlackBerry is mostly because they are easier to standardize and deploy to workers, easier to troubleshoot remotely, and easier to wipe when they get lost. Although third party application are bringing the similar functions to iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, and other Smartphone platforms, but BlackBerry’s in-built features offer more functionalities integrated with enterprise software business phone systems. That is the biggest reason, BlackBerry are so entrenched in the enterprise. And probably for that reasons, hospitals, manufacturers, sales organizations, governments, and other types of enterprises can put BlackBerry devices to their field workforce to make them enter and access data from anywhere at any time.
BlackBerry offers Mobile Voice System that allows integrated into the corporate phone system. And Research In Motion has recently unveiled MVS 5 which adds Voice over Wi-Fi to the solution. BlackBerry can connect over Wi-Fi and users can make and receive calls, even if they are far away from their corporate extension.
In spite of this strength of RIM’s BlackBerry, other smartphones are gobbling up new users. And there are some powerful trends against Blackberry. There are some concerns; what else BlackBerry could do to leapfrog the other smartphones?
But still BlackBerry is on the right move with up-to-the-minute features and apps that are propelling both iPhone and Android forward.
