In the excitement before setting off on a long journey for a family break it can be easy to overlook certain essential car checks, even though many of these are pure common sense. The majority of drivers know their vehicles well – they can recognise potential warning signs, such as a change in the performance of the vehicle, a change in steering or maybe brake vibration. If in any doubt about whether a vehicle is roadworthy, it is certainly advisable to get it checked out by a qualified mechanic before venturing out on long trips.
