Cars are definitely one of the most loved and valued things in the life of especially men. With a car you don't only buy a transportation vehicle. There is much more to a car than some people want to admit or even know. It has more to do with psychological reasons why a car is bought. If we evaluate the utilization potential of a car then we come to the conclusion that most of us will barely use the car most of the time. It is even a fact that the real usage time of a car is just at a 3% rate of a day. That means that our cars mostly stand at one point unused and this rate is at around 97% every day. So, what is it really that most of us still cannot forbear to possess a car?
It is said that we are living in a time of "overpleasure" which means that we often squander. This is definitely the case. Just have a look at your own life. Think about what you are doing without the help of gadgets. We don't do the dishwashing anymore, it's our dishwasher. The washing machine has relieved us from making our clothes clean. We turn on the radiator and our house becomes comfortably warm. So, why should we use our body and legs to go from one point to the other?
Another important reason is that cars are mostly seen as a substitute for your social status. The better your car the higher your social status. That means it other words: If you don't own a car you are broke or a poor guy. No one wants to have such a degradation in society. Thus, it is often opined that having no car is the same like being in a desperate situation. It's a sad fact that people are often influenced by these kinds of views and they often act according to general social rules although some things are not really needed.
Cars are also bought because especially men feel much more potent with this. Men can easily impress the other gender with a nice looking car. Therefore, it is very likely that a lot of men are not buying expensive cars only for themselves. Their ego becomes much more confirmed if all the eyes of women are directed towards the car and then to the driver which is the final goal of these kinds of men.
