Prevacid manufactured by TAP Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a prescription drug used to treat several different conditions, such as gastro esophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and duodenal ulcers. Introduced in the year 1995 it is a proton pump inhibitor, which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach by blocking the acid production sites.
